Patricia Del Rio
Hi there, and welcome! I have created 108 Times: Movement & Mindfulness with the purpose of bringing you exactly these results: mobility in the body, more flexibility and physical health; and explore Buddhist techniques to calm and center the mind. Sounds good? Learn more about the creator bellow.
Patricia has been practicing Yoga and Meditation as a self-healing method since the early age of 14. In 2011 she took refuge with Lama Ole Nidhal and became a Vajrayana Buddhist until this day. In 2012 she met Sani Yoga, a local Hatha Raja studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She completed her 300 hour Teacher Training by the end of 2013, and started teaching right away. The focus of this studio, and Patricia’s as well, was to provide the local community with affordable, high quality yoga as a mean to improve public health. Simultaneously, Patricia completed her studies at the University of New Mexico obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Community and Environmental Planning.
In 2017, she started a 200 hour training in Hatha Yoga as part of a Health, Wellness and Public Safety program at Central New Mexico’s College. This program included kinesiology, anatomy, clinical studies, first aid, and exercise science studies. At the same time she attended training workshops about prenatal yoga, acrobatic yoga at the local Aerialist Collective, and children’s yoga. After finishing this program in 2018, Patricia moved to Miami Florida, where she continued her studies at Atmananda Yoga, a Vinyasa studio.
By the end of Summer 2019, Patricia had completed 500 hours training in the Atmananda sequence, a Vinyasa school. This training was fundamental for her understanding of alignment, adjustments, and working with injuries. She conducted workshops, taught, and learned about Yin Yoga from accredited Yin teachers.
Today Patricia lives in Mexico City with her lovely partner, where she continues to teach yoga online and collaborating with Sani Yoga and SoFlow Yoga. Her classes, both in English and in Spanish, reach students all over the United States, Central and South America.
108 Times’ mission is to bring live, affordable, and caring yoga & mindfulness to your home, at your own convenience. Social distancing is a current need and responsibility that we all have, but regardless of this situation, 108 speaks of the power of consistency to develop skill and see progress! Home practice is about us, our family, and close ones, about becoming a better person not only for ourselves, but for the benefit of others too.
